This is a reclusive 5-day tour retailing the route, perhaps a bit more of Redmond O’Hanlon’s book, “Into the Heart of Borneo”.

It covers the upper reaches of mighty Rejang River, the longest river in Malaysia, to bring out the utmost and the best from Redmond’s experience as related in his book. It’s certainly More Than an experience. It’s a paradise from the authentic aspect. It’s an adventure discovering vanishing culture, exciting heritage, perhaps coming across some endemic wildlife, while crossing paths with some off the beaten tracks and less frequented areas in the remoteness of Borneo.

This expedition shall cover an ecosystem that encompasses most of the valley and waterway of Rejang that flows for some 720km, allowing you to experience the scenic express boat, tambang boat and longboat trips; sights of the infamous Pelagus Rapids, Kelirieng and Salong (native burial poles and burial huts respectively) and longhouses of at least 6 different ethnic native groups; witnessing long-eared native women, tattooed men and varied costumed dancers; observing the rarest of small fauna, edible and medicinal plants; and the list goes on.
